Workplace Safety in Hybrid Federal Laboratories
Safety considerations are an integral part of laboratory-based R&D operations. The COVID-19 pandemic rapidly changed how laboratory work is performed by separating researchers from the lab, reducing contact between facility users, and altering the traditional mentoring process. Altogether, it is not clear how these changes have affected safety practices and what adjustments may be needed moving forward.
The National Academies invite you to join us for a virtual workshop on Workplace Safety in Hybrid Federal Laboratories on August 15-16, 2023. This workshop will examine the effect that hybrid working environments have on safety proficiency and culture, promising practices for implementing safety programs, and strategies for fostering high-quality remote/hybrid mentoring relationships.
