The topic of the Software & Computing Round Table in November will be “Detector Simulations."
Regardless if we design new detectors or experiments, develop new analyses, or estimate the systematic uncertainties of our measurements, detector simulations are a vital part of our research. On Tuesday, November 9, at 11 a.m. (EDT) / 5:00 p.m. (CET), we will discuss the path towards next-generation detector simulations in HEP and NP:
- Sofia Vallecorsa (CERN) will review “AI/ML for Calorimeter Simulations.”
- Cristiano Fanelli (MIT) will discuss “AI/ML for Detector Optimization.”
- Makoto Asai (SLAC) will present "Geant4 in 2030 - A Personal View."

Brookhaven National Laboratory, the HEP Software Foundation, and Jefferson Lab are organizing the Software & Computing Round Table to foster the interplay of computing and science. The monthly round table forum aims for knowledge transfer and to encourage common projects within our scientific community.
