JLab Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Council
The DEIA Council is chartered, and its members appointed, by the Director of the Laboratory. It is the primary body responsible for advising the Director and senior leadership on subjects related to Diversity and Inclusion.
To address these goals, the Council will seek ways to maximize the creativity, communication, & collaboration among diverse Lab contributors; with particular attention to recruiting, retaining, and developing STEM women and minorities throughout the Laboratory.
DEIA council ambassadors are dedicated representatives advocating for DEIA at the Jefferson Lab. They actively collaborate to support DEIA programs, initiatives, and education. Our DEIA ambassadors' champion DEIA practices, striving to ensure inclusive representation of perspectives to foster innovation and promote an enriched scientific community and workplace.
We encourage everyone to contact our ambassadors with feedback or information, to ensure pertinent information is addressed during our council meetings. Click DEIA Council Ambassadors below to view a list of our council members.
