  • The purpose of this Electrical Safety Manual is to establish minimum requirements for identifying and controlling electrical hazards to prevent fatalities and injuries from working on or around hazardous electrical energy, and to establish Jefferson Lab National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab) site-specific electrical safe work practices that meet regulatory requirements and match the types of hazards found on-site
  • The Electrical Safe Work Practices chapter establishes the minimum requirements for identifying and controlling electrical hazards in order to prevent fatalities and injuries from working on or around hazardous electrical energy.  This document also establishes TJNAFs site-specific electrical safe work practices that meet regulatory requirements and match the types of hazards found on site.
  • This chapter and its associated appendices, apply to the construction and modification of electronic/electrical equipment used at Jefferson Lab. Items acquired from an outside source must meet these standards. Equipment that has not been altered, and is recognized by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory-NRTL (e.g.: those that are UL listed), are not included within the scope of this document.
